Bobby Riley

Bobby Riley is a principle and Creative Director at Soldier Design. Bobby’s early beginnings and passion for the concept of brand dates back to the early 90′s, where he worked and managed a host of retail stores in the areas of sport, fashion and technology leading him to start a successful retail start up called Concepts™ in 1995 converging sport, footwear and fashion together. The intimacy of retail is where Bobby learned how brands successfully connect with their audience (or not). After receiving his business degree in marketing and design, Bobby went to work for the Burton Snowboard Company as a member of the “Brand Creative” within the eight person marketing team, driving all facets of marketing communication for the company worldwide. During his tenure at Burton, Bobby lead the realignment of Burton Youth into a more aspirational mark of snowboarding and style, and was also charged with responsibility of brand experience at retail worldwide from the branding of the corporate environments, factory stores, B2B brand spaces, and B2C retail presence. He was also an integral voice for other inter-brand start-ups like RED Protection and the launch of Anon Optics.
For Bobby, how brands create purpose, meaningful product and immersive campaigns to draw people closer has been a long-lived interest. Similarly, seeing the power of how brands can build “real” relationships by connecting “real” people together spawned the birth of Soldier Design in 2002. Bobby’s passion for engaging experiences which go far beyond mere product, graphics, billboards or storefronts is poured into Soldier Design and its clients everyday.
